Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels.
This week’s photo is of a pagoda in Yuyuan Bazaar at night in Shanghai.
Located downtown Shanghai, Yuyuan Bazaar is mainly a commercial tourist district. Here you’ll find many shopkeepers aggressively peddling overprice souvenirs and a lot of western eateries. Although I’m not a big fan of these touristy areas, there is still something enjoyable about the area of Yuyuan.
High above the noise of people haggling prices, are beautiful pagodas. At night all of the buildings are illuminated and the area seems to transform into someplace quite charming.
