FOTO FRIDAY: VOLO BOG, ILLINOIS

Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels.

This week’s photo is from Volo Bog in Illinois, USA.

Located in Northern Illinois, Volo Bog is a peaceful retreat from the busy city. As you walk along the zigzag boardwalk surrounded by lush greenery, you’re suddenly brought to an open area of marsh. Upon seeing the marsh, I felt like I was teleported to a Lord of the Rings movie set.

The colors of this marsh seemed almost ethereal. especially as the clouds rolled in for an afternoon storm.
