FOTO FRIDAY: RAINBOW BRIDGE, TOKYO BAY

Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels.

This week’s photo is of Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo Bay.

Rainbow Bridge has long been a popular attraction in Tokyo, and last week marked its 20th birthday. Spanning from Odaiba to Shibaura, this suspension bridge was built to harmonize with the natural skyline of Tokyo in 1993.

The reason the bridge is so popular, is because of its rainbow illumination. Lit with red, blue and green lights, Rainbow Bridge stands out beautifully against its Tokyo backdrop. Unfortunately both times I’ve made a trip out to visit Rainbow Bridge, it was only illuminated with its normal white lights. Although the white still stands out from the skyline and is beautiful in its own way, I really hope to see Rainbow Bridge live up to its name in the near future!

If you enjoyed this photo, please share it!
