FOTO FRIDAY: HERON AT SUNSET, MALDIVES

Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels.

This week’s photo is of a heron at sunset in the Maldives.

As our boat returned from the neighboring local island, the sun was beginning to set. We rushed off the boat, planning to watch some sting rays, but instead we found ourselves captivated by a couple of heron.

Standing perfectly still along the shore and on rocks, the birds looked picturesque against the pink sunset reflecting in the water.
