Golf Trip Packing List (and Your Sunday Bag!)

If you’re lucky enough to be planning a golf trip, there are a few things you’ll want to remember to pack.

When going golfing, there are many things you need to bring along like clubs, balls, and tees. But there are also other items you may not have considered that can make your trip much more enjoyable.

Here’s a packing list of 10 things you don’t want to forget for your next golf trip:

1. Your golf bag!

Of course, you’ll need something to carry all your golfing gear in. If you’re renting clubs, be sure to ask the pro shop if they have bags available for rent.

When it comes to golf bags, there are many different types and styles to choose from. Consider what you’ll be using the bag for and how often you’ll be carrying it.

If you’ll be walking the course most of the time, you might want a lighter-weight bag with a stand. If you’re planning on riding in a cart, a larger bag with plenty of compartments might be more your style.

2. Golf clubs

Unless you’re renting clubs, you’ll need to bring your own. Be sure to pack all the essential clubs including a driver, putter, irons, and wedges. If you’re unsure which clubs to bring, ask a professional at your local golf shop for advice.

3. Golf balls

You can never have too many golf balls! When packing for your trip, be sure to bring along plenty of balls for practice and for playing.

4. Golf tees

Don’t forget the tee! You’ll need something to tee up your ball with. Bring along a few different sizes of tees so you can use the ones that work best with your clubs.

5. Golf gloves

A good pair of golf gloves are essential for gripping the club and keeping your hands from getting too sweaty. Gloves also help protect your hands from blisters and calluses.

6. Hat or visor

Protecting your head and face from the sun is important when spending a day out on the golf course. Be sure to pack a hat or visor to keep the sun out of your eyes.

7. Sunscreen

Don’t forget the sunscreen! Apply it liberally before heading out to the course and re-apply throughout the day, especially if you’re sweating or swimming.

8. Water bottle

Staying hydrated is important when playing golf in hot weather. Be sure to bring along a water bottle and drink plenty of fluids throughout the day.

9. Snacks and drinks

Golf can be a long game, so it’s important to keep your energy up with snacks and drinks. Pack some granola bars, trail mix, or other snacks to eat between holes. And don’t forget the drinks! Bring along some water or sports drinks to stay hydrated.

10. Rain gear

If you’re golfing in the spring or summer, there’s always a chance of rain. Be sure to pack a rain jacket or poncho just in case.

With this packing list, you’ll be sure to have everything you need for a great golf trip. Enjoy the ride and happy golfing!
