Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels.
This week’s photo is from Aberdeen, Hong Kong.
We rarely ever get out to Aberdeen, which is located on the southern side of Hong Kong island. The area is reachable only by bus or car since the MTR does not run that far south (although it will in another year or so!).
Aberdeen used to be another small fishing village, but the area is pretty built up now. Despite that, you can still see plenty of traditional sampan boats in the waters around the harbor. Although there’s not terribly too much to do in Aberdeen, it’s a great mix of old and modern Hong Kong and a great escape from the hectic city.
