Wedding season is upon us and it’s time for those who are tying the knot to start thinking about where they want to go on their honeymoon! I know I sure have been. With our wedding quickly approaching in less than six months, I’ve been trying to figure out the best honeymoon destinations in Asia.

Yes, that’s right – Asia.

Now I know most people tend to think of more traditional destinations like Hawaii or Paris, but Asia offers plenty of romantic places perfect for any newly wed getaway. From secluded beaches to towering cities, Asia really offers all and more with its many 5-star resorts and hotels, so today we’re going to look at the best honeymoon destinations in Asia!

THE BEST PLACES TO HONEYMOON IN ASIA:

I. HONG KONG

MANDARIN ORIENTAL, HONG KONG

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is the flagship property for one of the world’s leading hotel brands…and one of my personal favorites.

With on-point customer service at your finger tips, you know you’ll be in good hands. You can’t go wrong with whichever room category you choose, I’d say what matters more is that you splurge for one of their Harbour Rooms. With floor to ceiling windows, Victoria Harbour will dazzle you at all times of day and you’ll have your own private seats for the Symphony of Lights show each night. It is your honeymoon after all.

For those who aren’t looking to leave the hotel at all, the hotel offers full room service and plenty of dining options including Man Wah, their signature Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant with highly photogenic windows, and my personal favorite, The Mandarin Cake Shop, which became famous for being the first bakery to sell cronuts in Hong Kong.

HYATT REGENCY TSIM SHA TSUI

In the heart of Hong Kong, the Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui is perfect for any city-lovers honeymoon. With spacious rooms overlooking Victoria Harbour, these picturesque skyline views prove this hotel is perfect for any honeymoon.

Since they know you can’t get enough of the romantic view, they do an excellent job of making sure you can see it at all times– even the bathroom mirror slides open.

When you can finally pull yourself away from the romance of it all, the luxuries of the Regency Club and Melo Spa will be waiting.

II. SINGAPORE

MANDARIN ORIENTAL, SINGAPORE

Much like its sister in Hong Kong, the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore promises the utmost luxury. Located right on Marina Bay, you’ll want to splurge for a room with a view.

While it may be hard to leave such a luxurious room with all the 5-star amenities you could dream of, you must in order to try one of the hotel’s seven different dining options. From steak to afternoon tea, you can expect everything to be perfection. To set the mood, enjoy a romantic dinner at Dolce Vita, their authentic Italian restaurant with contemporary twists.

Indulge in a relaxing couples treatment at the spa or simply lie by the pool which offers perfect skyline views from the deck.

THE FULLERTON HOTEL

Right on the waterfront behind the famous Merlion sits The Fullerton Hotel. This historical structure exudes luxury from the minute you step through its doors.

Rooms are modest, yet elegant, featuring 5-star amenities including Bulgari toiletries and a Handy smartphone for guests to borrow during their visit.

The real highlight of this hotel lies with the rooftop bar and restaurant The Lighthouse. Specializing in authentic Southern Italian cuisine, reserve a window-side table overlooking Marina Bay for the spectacular light show.

A romantic setting on the beach, Tugu Bali transports you to the romantic hay day of Balinese life and culture. This is the Bali you dreamed of. The Bali you won’t find elsewhere amongst the trashy areas of Kuta or the cookie-cuter resorts in Seminyak.

Retire to your Javanese tree house furnished entirely with teak wood. The four poster bed and sunken bathtub only add to the romantic atmosphere.

Dining at Tugu Bali is a whole other experience. As a guest you can dine in any location of the hotel. Whether you want to set up a table on the beach at sunset or to have lunch on the pavilion over the lily pond, anything your heart desires can come true at Tugu.
