Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels.
In keeping with the theme of Chinese New Year, this week’s photo is of the “Year of the Snake” lantern display in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.
I was really excited when I found out that I’d be in Hong Kong for the Year of the Snake– my year. However, I had been a bit disappointed when almost nothing was snake themed for this year’s festivities. Therefore, whenever I come across anything that has snakes I get a bit excited, like when I saw these Chinese New Year lantern displays.
I was glad to see that there were snakes involved with the various lantern carnivals. This particular lantern display was in Victoria Park during the Lunar New Year Fair. Here’s to hoping I’ll end my Chinese New Year festivities with more snakes when I visit the giant Lunar New Year Lantern Carnival in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Hi, I stumbledupon your blog. 😉
Thanks for the great photo
