FOTO FRIDAY: EMPIRE STATE OF MIND
Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels.
This week’s photo is of New York from the Empire State Building!
My first ever visit to New York was pretty packed. From spending the day at Japan Day to running around exploring as much Asian culture around the city as I could, my schedule didn’t leave a whole lot of time for sightseeing. I never made it to the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, or even to a borough other than Manhattan, but somehow I was completely okay with that.
I debated if I should even bother going to the top of the Empire State Building, but I guess I needed to squeeze in at least one touristy activity. I knew that if I were to go up, it had to be at night in order to see the city all lit up, and surprisingly, this worked in our favor as there was no line at all late Friday night. In the end I’m glad I did bother, because boy were the views worth it! NYC might not be as pretty as Hong Kong, but it’s beautiful in its own way.
