Foto Friday: Sri Layan Sithi Vinayagar Temple, Singapore

Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels.

This week’s photo is from Sri Layan Sithi Vinayagar Temple in Singapore.

Singapore is unique because it’s one of the few countries where you can find a Buddhist temple, Hindu temple, Islamic Mosque and Christian Church all in the same neighborhood. Despite being so small, Singapore is very multicultural.

Across from our hotel in Chinatown, there was a beautiful Hindu temple. Every time we passed by the temple, there would be various services or people worshiping and chanting, both inside and out. Much like most Hindi temples, the architecture and colors were simply stunning– I had never seen anything like it in person, so I loved getting the chance to photograph it.
