FEELING PAMPERED AND REFRESHED AT CONRAD INDY

Located in the heart of downtown, a stay at the Conrad Indianapolis promises visitors a luxurious and artsy stay.

Yes, the city’s recent artsy revival has also seemed to affect one of the city’s finest hotels as well. The first and second floors of the Conrad feature the works of both local and world renowned artists, and the hotel houses its own permanent art gallery as well.

The Long-Sharp Gallery, which is an extension of ModernMasters Fine Art, has rotating exhibits throughout the year with a primary focus on the best of modern and contemporary art. While we were there they had a wonderful Andy Warhol exhibit, and they’ve also held exhibitions featuring Picasso, Roy Lichtenstein and Keith Haring.

While we appreciated the awesome art scene, what we really loved about the Conrad was the comfort and atmosphere.

Immediately upon walking into our room each day, we felt relaxed and ready to recharge.

Indianapolis - Oct 2014

The bed was among the comfiest I’ve ever slept in.

As we had been sleeping on a sofa bed for the past couple of weeks leading up to our stay, our backs welcomed the change of what felt like sleeping on clouds.

For added comfort, they also had a complete pillow menu which we happily tried out each night.

My favorite part of our luxurious room? The bathroom.

It had those little touches of luxury that we had most been looking forward to. The shower had water pressure to die for and you can be sure that the large, separate soak tub didn’t go unused.

Add in the fact that there was an additional flat-screen TV in the bathroom…heaven!

One night, we returned to our room after enjoying some wine tastings downstairs, only to find chocolate-covered strawberries waiting for us. Chocolates, TV and a soak all in one? Oh how pampered I felt.

And yes, like I just mentioned, downstairs there were wine tastings. Tastings… A Wine Experience is Indy’s largest wine tasting venue and it’s conveniently located on the Conrad’s ground floor.

Each evening after a long day of sightseeing around Indy, we were excited to relax and try a few different wine tastings. You’ll probably remember me saying not too long ago that I’m not much a wine person– and yes, this is true.

But I absolutely love the idea of buying tastings in order try a whole bunch since usually, when I buy by the glass, I unfortunately always pick something I don’t tend to care for.

I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at the Conrad Indianapolis hotel. Being located right in the middle of downtown, the location couldn’t get any more convenient and I loved the hotel’s artsy touches.

Not only that, but the staff were continually helpful and the service impeccable. Its comfort and luxuriousness certainly lived up to the Conrad name, and I know I’ll we’ll staying here again in the future!

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO CONRAD INDIANAPOLIS AND VISIT INDY FOR ARRANGING OUR STAY! AS ALWAYS, ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.
