FOTO FRIDAY: MARINA BAY SANDS, SINGAPORE

Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels.

This week’s photo is from Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

The Marina Bay Sands has become an icon for Singapore since it opened in 2010. It is the 3rd international Sands property, after the two resorts in Macau. Most of this resorts fame came from its infinity pool on the roof, which is a part of the Sands SkyPark . Tourists have flocked from all over to take photos at this pool 627 ft off the ground. Currently it is the world’s longest elevated swimming pool.

The pool is no longer accessible from the Sands Observation Deck, and is open to hotel guests only. But the views from up there were amazing! I hope to stay as a guest in the Marina Bay Sands someday to actually swim in that pool. I bet it looks even better at night against Singapore’s glistening skyline.
